Amazing Progress: October 2018

We are amazed by God!
Can you believe it? Through the very generous contributions of faithful saints, God has significantly increased our progress towards our one-time outgoing expenses. We have almost 75% of what we need to leave for the field! Thank you for praying and thank you for partnering with us for the glory of God. We are truly humbled by how God has connected us with so many precious people.
The graph below shows the significant growth in our outgoing costs due to generous one-time gifts. We've been so blessed to be a part of seeing God work so wonderfully these last few months!

Please continue to pray for additional monthly partners as well. These committed partners sustain our family and the ministry once we are on the field. Before we can leave, our mission's agency requires that we have enough monthly partners to cover 100% of our monthly budget. We trust the Lord for His perfect timing and praise Him that we currently have 49% of our ongoing monthly support!

A Note from Ashley:
I am thankful for this time of support raising and trusting in the Lord. It is such an opportunity for new growth in my life. Contrary to some of the negative expectations of support raising, this season has been in many ways a joyful experience. I am regularly amazed when watching God provide and work in ways I couldn't imagine. And I am so thankful for the people God has connected us with that I would have never had the joy of knowing this side of heaven if we were not pursuing this ministry. There is also a child-like faith that God is teaching me as He takes us step by step and only shows us the path directly in front of us. For these and many other blessings I find much joy and peace through each step of this uncertain journey. Thank you for your love, support, and prayers. God is so good!

A Note from David:
I'm thankful for the opportunities that God has provided for me to preach His Word and share what He is doing in Madagascar. It's a privilege to proclaim such a worthy Savior.
As I think of life and ministry on the mission field, I often recognize the reality of my own weakness in the face of the task before me. When I look to my own resources, all that remains is doubt and fear. But when I see throughout scripture that God is pleased to use weak vessels to accomplish His purposes—so that He alone gets the glory—then I am strengthened by His power and am compelled to press on. Pray for the Lord to continue preparing me to lead my wife and family through the journey that lies ahead of us.

Prayer Requests:
- Pray for Ashley’s continued progress as she keeps working on completing her biblical counseling certification. It has been challenging with homeschooling but she continues to press ahead and she is getting closer.
- Pray that God would give us an abundance of wisdom for our next steps and future plans moving forward.
- Pray that we would be prepared for whatever timing the Lord decides to move us.
- Pray that the Lord would continue to grow our love for Him.
- Pray for our precious teammates already in Madagascar, the Ravoahangy family.

We rejoice that over 200 men were able to gain a clear understanding of the importance and power of biblical exposition.
