Join other members and supporters of Slow Food Russian River for the Fall 2018 Slow Salon, Applause for Apples – In Praise of the First Fruit.
Date: Sunday, October 28, 3-6pm
Location: Private Home near Occidental, address with RSVP/Ticket.
Our theme is Connecting with Apples and the occasion is the closing of our Sebastopol Community Apple Press, the day before the event, Saturday October 27th, the end of the season.
A few Slow Food members will tell brief personal stories on topics such as:
• How I became an apple grower and where am I going with this
• How I traveled the world in support of food-diversity
• How I planted and took care of my home orchard
• How I made my first cider and how it tasted
• How I went back to school and learned all about growing apples
• How I became a cider evangelist
• How I brought my cider business to the next level
