Choosing Mercy

October is a month when we often begin to make choices. Who will I spend the holidays with this year? Who will I vote for in the November elections? What will I buy my loved ones for Christmas? What will my fall wardrobe look like?

As Christians, we are called each and every day to make choices that reflect the mercy of God. How do I love the stranger & the outcast? How am I being compassionate to those who society often looks down upon? When Jesus walks up to me on the street, do I recognize Him? And does Jesus know I am His Disciple by my actions and deeds?

Please consider joining members of St. Matthew's parish at these upcoming service opportunities.
