Seductive innocence of LOLITA...Savage hunger of a BLACK WIDOW!
Filmed in 1964 but not released until 1967, SPIDER BABY, Jack's third feature, was a black comedy/horror movie about a mentally deranged family (Sid Haig, Jill Banner, Beverly Washburn) that are taken care of by their chauffeur Bruno (Lon Chaney Jr). It's now a beloved cult classic.
Fun Facts
Pam Grier became a popular star from her work in the exploitation films Jack Hill wrote and directed. Her most famous role was as the revenge seeking nurse COFFY (1973) which audiences loved. She would follow that film with FOXY BROWN (1974) another tale of a woman seeking vengeance for the murder of her boyfriend. Both movies became classics of the Blaxploitation genre.
