Sunday 7th October 

Commodore's Report

As the 2018 season has been so exciting and eventful, I thought we would make a change this year from the normal Commodore’s letter, turning it into a Commodore’s diary month-by-month. This will make it easier to navigate around to find particular achievements and successes as they happened. You will see this is a story of resilience, enterprise and commitment by all, to the success of Queen Mary Sailing Club this season.

QM Youth Open 
Saturday 20th October 

Calling All Youth Sailors!
The event is open to all boats of the Topper, Laser Radial, RS Feva and RS Tera Classes. Registration will begin at 09:00 on Saturday, the race briefing will be at 09:45 and the warning signal for race one at 10:40.

QM Club Championships
Sunday 21st October 

Calling all Club Members!
The Club Championships comprise 3 races and are open to all dinghy classes and QMSC approved classes of multi-hulls, keelboats and windsurf boards.  All boats must be helmed by Club members, or full time members of staff. Each boat shall sign on to show that she intends to race before going afloat.

The warning signal for Race One is at 10:27

The Lap is Back!

We are excited to announce that we will again be organising a walking lap of our reservoir. This is a unique opportunity to walk the 4.2 mile reservoir perimeter, which is not normally open to the public. We are very grateful to Thames Water for the opportunity and hope that supporters of the Club will be inspired to take part.

Laps start anytime from 10:30 on Sunday 18th November.

  • Sailability AGM - Thursday 8th November
  • The Christmas Fun Race and Annual Prize Giving Lunch - Sunday 16th December

  • The Bloody Mary - Saturday 12th January
