- Vladimir Cuk, Executive Director of IDA and focal point of the Stakeholder Group of Persons with Disabilities – on the data commitments made during the Global Disability Summit & the World Data Forum
- Elizabeth Lockwood, PhD CBM Representative at the United Nations – on the eighth meeting of the Inter-agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development Goal Indicators (IAEG-SDGs) including the disaggregation of data by disability
- Followed by the introduction of a brief study entitled “What’s happening with disability data”
Objective:
The objective of the webinar is to provide an overview of current global advocacy efforts to collect disability data and promote the disaggregation of data by disability, using the Washington Group Short Set of questions. Speakers will provide information about recent forums where disability data advocacy was undertaken and will reflect on ways forward. The webinar will also introduce a short study that summarizes the results of two surveys conducted earlier this year. The study reflects what DPOs think about disability data and contains recommendations moving towards evidence-based policymaking. Following information sharing, time will be allocated for questions.
