CULTURAL ORGANIZING FOR COMMUNITY CHANGE
Sunday, November 18, 9:30am-6:00pm
Littlefield (635 Sackett Street, Brooklyn) and other neighborhood sites
REGISTER NOW!

Join fellow organizers, artists, media makers, and policy makers to learn effective ways to deepen your work and engage your creativity in organizing for community change. The day will include:

  • a cultural organizing framework
  • hands-on skill building workshops
  • case studies from across NYC and beyond
  • a neighborhood walking tour and performance
  • visits to neighborhood organizations
  • networking and resources
Presenters will include (list in progress): Arts & Democracy, Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP), FUREE, Interference Archive, Just Seeds, NOCD-NY, Ron Ragin, Theater of the Liberated, Urban Bush Women, and more.

The event will begin at Littlefield (635 Sackett Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn), followed by afternoon breakout sessions at Fifth Avenue Committee, Gowanus Canal Conservancy, Interference Archive, and Theater Mitu.

Don't wait too long! This workshop sells out. Sliding scale fee: $25, $50, $100. We rely on registration fees to cover workshop costs.
