Database Spotlight


Gale Interactive: Human Anatomy is a GALILEO database of virtual 3-D dissections of the human body. You may need the GALILEO password to access databases when you are not on campus. A new password is emailed to students, faculty, and staff at the beginning of each semester. Can't find it? Ask for it in person at your CPTC library, or send an email to library@coastalpines.edu using your CPTC account.

An eBook is an electronic book or a book in digital form. It can be read online or downloaded to your computer, tablet, smartphone, or a reader.

CPTC's collection includes more than 85,000 eBooks. So if you can't find what you need on our shelves, check online. CPTC students, faculty and staff can access eBooks through our online catalog and through databases in GALILEO. 

Our Finding eBooks LibGuide includes a few websites that offer free eBooks.

Meet our Library Staff

Photo of Rhonda MilesRhonda J. Miles has been with CPTC about three years. She is the Student Affairs/Library Assistant in the Learning Resource Center on the Hazlehurst Instructional Site.

Rhonda is a people person and is willing to do whatever needs to be done to help students. She enjoys collecting cookbooks, hiking, photography, and Pinterest. Her favorite book is A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens who is one of her favorite authors. Joyce Meyer is another favorite.

Rhonda is a huge fan of Elvis and Memphis, Tenn. She loves hanging out with her family, and her favorite time of the year is Christmas. 

Our Mission

Library Services at Coastal Pines Technical College supports the academic, cultural and lifelong learning needs of our students, faculty, staff, and communities in Southeast Georgia.
 
CPTC students can get one-on-one help with research and finding books and other materials, and use library computers and printers, reset passwords, and more.
