Knowledge, beliefs and values give us both roots and branches. They represent wisdom that we carry forward from previous lineages and that we cast into the future for generations to come. Our country, and the world, have gone through paradigm shifts before. We are in such a time.
In tarot consults, I am having deep and rich conversations with clients that are questioning the beliefs, values and knowledge they've inherited not only from their families but also from society - institutions, politics, media, and even the arts. I feel so lucky to bear witness to people questioning what they've inherited and either reframing or coming up with new beliefs, values and systems of thinking that support who they want to be and the world they want to leave behind.
Each and every one of us plays a role in shaping the future - we all consume and embody knowledge and impart it, whether consciously or unconsciously, with our words, actions, habits and choices. The two
ArcanaDance™ workshops on October 27 and 28 are designed to support your role in identifying the roots and branches you want to carry into the future. What do you want to contribute to our collective evolution into a new paradigm?
The first workshop, at Move2Center in West Seattle, is focused on the aspect of The Hierophant as a learner or student on a spiritual path. The second workshop, at Balance Studio in Fremont, is focused on the aspect of The Hierophant as a teacher, guide and communicator of knowledge and wisdom. I hope you will join me for one or both :)

During this ArcanaDance™ workshop we will use tarot, movement, and music to explore ways to more consciously integrate knowledge and wisdom into our lives to better support the spiritual and life path we most desire.
In the tarot, the Hierophant (or Teacher) card represents the archetype of knowledge and wisdom. This workshop is focused on ways you can be a more conscious student or learner on a spiritual path.
The Hierophants asks us, “What do I believe and value? Where did they come from? Why did I adopt them? How do they inform my life? Are they relevant for the life I want to create?”
This archetype shows us ways we can interpret and embody teachings we’ve accumulated throughout our lives from sources ranging from family, spirituality, society, institutions, sacred texts and culture. We will question what we know, its relevance, and learn how to sift through and align the knowledge we’ve accumulated to support the kind of life we want to lead.

I have loved the music of Tori Amos since I was in High School. I am so excited to introduce you to the first phase of this body of work that brings the form and Nia to life to the music of Tori Amos. The routine is rooted in modern dance (in a Nia way). The music is moody, emotional, quirky, melodic and erratic. The choreography invites us to play with shapes in space, to go inward and then outward, to be melodic and explosive, to be smooth and sharp, to most of all - to explore the beauty, depth and breadth of emotional expression. The routine is of my own creation and is not an official or endorsed Nia routine (like Hamilton). Let's play! Once again, huge heart thanks to JAG for hosting me!
