What can you do with the Version History feature?
  • Recover previous versions of documents.
  • See who and when someone edited a Google doc, sheet, or slide.
  • Name versions of documents you are working on (i.e. Initial draft, Second draft, With citations, etc.)

  2. On the document File menu, hover over the Version History menu item and click on "See version history" in the sub menu.
  3. On the Version History list in the right column of the screen, click on the desired version to view the document as saved on that date and time.

TECH TIP  Restoring a previous version replaces the current version of a document. Consider making a copy of a document's current version prior to restoring a previous version. This is helpful if the current version contains data that needs to be added back to the restored version.
