Volunteer efforts to clean up buckthorn around Diamond Lake have been so successful that there is minimal buckthorn to clean up in public areas this year. So we will also be removing other invasives including honeysuckle, oriental bittersweet, and grapevines.
Why the Big Bust?
Invasives crowd out more diverse native plants, limiting wildlife habitat. Our continued vigilance in removing as many of the plants as we can find pays off!
