Join us for the 22nd Annual Vancouver Asian Film Festival Opening Night Spotlight Screening + Gala. You don’t want to miss our Opening Night screening of DEAD PIGS, a Comedy Drama from director Cathy Yan, followed by the Opening Night Gala at D6 Bar & Lounge – Parq Vancouver.

Program 4 – Late Night Features Series: The Way Station

Enjoy foreign films? Then you’ll love this award-winning film from Vietnam. The Way Station (Đảo của Dân Ngụ Cư ), by director Hong Anh, takes the audience through the lives of people from around the country who gather in a little village by the sea. The film is told from the viewpoint of Phước, a restaurant chef’s assistant, who portrays the desperation of the characters in their search for happiness.

Program 9: Late Night Features Series: Omotenashi

Foreign film lovers will love "Omotenashi", screening on November 3!

Revolving around a young and cynical entrepreneur’s rediscovery of the value of humility and old-school human relationships in a rundown inn he plans to demolish, "Omotenashi" is a story about love, culture, and the virtue of traditional Japanese hospitality.

Sat, Nov 3 | 11:00 am – 10:00 pm

Sun, Nov 4| 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm
