Scheduled inbound flights from West Asia to India set to decline in 3Q2019


 
Scheduled inbound flights from West Asia to India is expected to shrink by 11.9 percent year-on-year during the 3Q2019 as the top three source markets, the UAE (-14.3%), Oman (-11.5%) and Saudi Arabia (-20.6%), will likely experience double-digit contraction in flight frequencies. Scheduled flights from Iraq (26.0%) will stand out in terms of percentage growth albeit off a much small numeric base, while Qatar and Turkey will remain reasonably stable.

Hong Kong PolyU study finds photos tell more than a thousand words
In a recently published paper, the researchers apply the method to almost a million photos uploaded by Australian travellers to the photo-sharing site Flickr to discover their sequential travel destinations and itineraries, thus producing a wealth of information that could “support destination marketing organizations (DMOs) in promoting appropriate destinations to travellers”.
