World Diabetes Day is the World’s largest diabetes awareness campaign. It is marked every year on the 14th of November.
Mesh are affected by diabetes both within our families and our tour crew and that is why we have decided to actively support this campaign, helping in a small way to raise awareness of this life changing disease.
That's why we are selling blue bracelets. The blue bracelet references the blue circle, the global symbol for diabetes awareness. It signifies the unity of the global diabetes community, and is a response to the rising number of people affected by diabetes.
For the inscription of the bracelet we chose the lyric “can’t we be the ones to turn it around?” taken from the song Let Them Crush Us. This seemed appropriate - diabetes research is helping to turn the treatment of this disease around and more awareness as to the scale of the problem will help the lives of millions.
Besides the bracelets we also offer special editions of the popular Involved shirt. By request, you can choose your own colour.
Bracelets and shirts available at www.meshstore.co.uk
All proceeds will be donated to a charity organisation linked to the research and management of diabetes.
