JCR is going away Dec 31, 2018

The publisher of Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Clarivate, decided they would no longer provide access to Journal Citation Reports as a stand alone product.

The Library's subscription access to JCR ends December 31st, 2018.  However, the Library does provide access to a variety of other journal metric tools, such as Scopus' SCImago Journal Rank, Eigenfactor, Google Scholar Metrics, and others.

Test our new discovery portal

In the coming weeks, TMC Library will be moving to Primo VE, a robust discovery system similar to our current discovery tool, One Search.  Primo VE will be a one-stop search experience that replaces One Search, our library catalog, and our resources A to Z page.  It will include direct links to Browzine, PubMed a database A to Z list and bibliographic citation tools like Refworks and Endnote. Users can save Favorite search results by logging in to PrimoVE with their library card number and last name. Click here to take Primo VE for a test drive!.

The Library will be closed for Thanksgiving on November 22nd and 23rd, 2018.

Study Hub relocation

You may have noticed that the Study Hub has been relocated to the Street Level old Admin area (suite of offices next to the vending machines area) due to building renovations.

There are tables and chairs in each individual study room. The door to the new Study Hub will remain open at all times during library operating hours.

Notice: BCM users at Texas Children's Hospital

We are still receiving occasional reports of BCM users on the Texas Childrens' Hospital (TCH) network having issues with logins. Please note that BCM users within the Texas Childrens' Hospital (TCH) network have been prohibited by the TCH firewall, since the launch of Open Athens. The Library has worked with TCH IT to implement a system-wide fix for BCM clients working at TCH, however their preference is to deal with user access issues on a case-by-case basis.
