Global Gathering for Enhancing International Cooperation on Climate Change and Energy
INVIGORATING cooperation among cities is one effective way to stimulate a city’s development. Included in the definition of development are positive responses of cities on the issue of climate change. This idea is fully embraced by the European Union (EU) and so it provides it a platform, namely, the International Urban Cooperation (IUC) programme that stimulates city-to-city cooperation/pairing, putting cities facing similar challenges in touch with one another so they can learn from their partner’s approach.

Sustainable Eco-Tourism: From and For Community Development
ECOTOURISM once defined as responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people (TIES, 1990). The definition addresses sustainability on two main points: environmentally and economically. Embracing this spirit, Seberang Perai Municipal Council (SPMC) organised the 2nd Seberang Perai International Conference on Ecotourism and Conservation Effort (SPICEC 2018), taking the theme Promoting Local Economic Development through Ecotourism.

Rights Based Approach for SDGs Implementation
AMONG many global agenda that the world is now pursuing, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is prominent with commitment ‘No One Left Behind’. Envisioning better world, global leaders have united and international forums were organised to offer suitable approach for local (and national) governments. UCLG ASPAC, in collaboration with its partners introduced rights-based approach in the Human Rights Cities in the context to localise SDGs discussion in Gwangju, South Korea from 18 to 21 October 2018.
