Christmas Mission Project
Thank you to those who collected items for the Mission House during their Trick or Treat time. And...we are extending the dates for this Mission Project to carry over into the Christmas Season.
Mission House Christmas Project
We will be collecting personal items for our friends at the Mission House. (Remember the recipients do not have a place to store anything so items should be for immediate use only.)
Wash cloths/Towels, White Ankle Socks (for men & women), Gloves, Hats, Women's Underwear & Men's Boxers
Candy, Protein or Breakfast bars, Snack packs of cookies or chips
$5 gift card to McDonalds or a similar local place
Please bring your items to the collection basket located in the Nursery hallway and we will deliver the items the 2nd week of December.

FYI... Ocean Park is a monthly donor to the Beaches Mission House on Shetter Avenue. For those unaware of the Mission House - it is a place for those in need to have a meal, take a shower, see a doctor, etc.

We will be happy to accept "one-time" donations of individual snacks and individual size boxed drinks. The above examples are just suggestions...

Haiti Mission Trip
Pastor Chris and Jerry & Linda Benton will be heading to Haiti (March 9 - 16, 2019). They will be ministering at the Cabaret Baptist Children's Home which houses 53 youth & children. Please keep this mission team and the children at the home in prayer and consider if:
1. You would be able to support their trip financially.
Last year our church provided Underwear, Socks, White tank undershirts for the children. Linda will be informing us shortly of what Ocean Park will be providing this year.

Thanksgiving Meal
November 18 - 5:00 p.m.
Last year we began a new tradition at Ocean Park Baptist - our Thanksgiving Meal.
Message from Pastor Chris I desire our church family to come together to give thanks as a body. We will incorporate singing, scripture reading, and public thanksgiving.
I am asking each family to prepare a one sentence confession of thanksgiving to publicly share with the congregation from this year. It can be thanksgiving for who God is or what He has done. I look forward for a meaningful meal to remember what God has done for us this year.

"Genuine Love"
12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers,[a] by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.[b]2 Do not be conformed to this world,[c] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.[d] 3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4 For as in one body we have many members,[e] and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads,[f] with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. 9 Let love be genuine.
