Trinity Family,
After prayerful consideration regarding our next steps as a community with Shelley's departure, Trinity's Leadership Team has decided to move forward with splitting the Director of Community Life position into two 20/hr weekly positions. This split will create an Interim Children's Ministry Director and an Interim Church Administrator role.
These interim positions will allow us the time to move forward in filling the immediate practical administrative and ministerial pieces that will exist in Shelley's absence, but also provide us the space to prayerfully consider how this position will be structured in the future. We imagine having a decision about the long term plans for this position some time after the first of the year.
We are excite to share with you all that we have filled both positions in creative and meaningful ways.
Kate Carlson and Emma Patterson will share the position of Interim Children's Ministry Director.
Kate and her family are long-time members of the Trinity Community. With experience helping lead the Parents' Care of the Soul group, in education, and leading her family in spiritual growth and mission work in the community, Kate brings wisdom and expertise.
Emma started a couple ago as part of the Trinity Children's Ministry team, and last year moved into the position as Children's Ministry Coordinator. She is currently working on her Masters of Social Work at UT, and brings years of experience in education and caring for children.
Christine Major will serve in the Interim Church Administrator role. Years ago, Christine was on staff at Trinity in a similar capacity. She brings expertise in the field, as well as a deep understanding of the Trinity Community.
Please join us in welcoming these active members of the Trinity into their new roles. They officially begin their new roles on November 1.
