MEN'S SOCCER (8-6-3, 7-1-3 GSC): The Lee Flames broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the 66th minute, which was enough to edge the Christian Brothers University Bucs 1-0 Tuesday night in the GSC Quarterfinals.
WOMEN'S SOCCER (8-7-2, 7-5-1 GSC): The Lady Bucs' soccer season came to a close at the hands of No. 2 West Florida Argonauts in the quarterfinals of the Gulf South Conference Tournament, 2-0 in the UWF Soccer Complex on Tuesday.
VOLLEYBALL: (12-18, 3-11 GSC): The Lady Bucs won the first set, but visiting Union won the next three to claim a four-set 3-1 win Tuesday night at Canale Arena. Visiting Shorter took advantage of errors by the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs as they claimed a three-set win Friday at Canale Arena. The Lady Bucs ended their 2018 season with a four-set loss to Lee on Senior Night.
CROSS COUNTRY: Two CBU freshman cross country runners earned All-GSC honors as they led the Lady Bucs to a seventh-place finish in Saturday's GSC Championships. The Bucs finished 10th. Johanna Wistokat finished 15th of 97 runners in the women's 5k race, earning second-team All-GSC honors with her time of 18:51, which was fourth-fastest among freshmen. Chloe Willis finished 21st in 19:10, also earning second-team All-GSC. Willis was the sixth-fastest freshman in the race. Peter Torres paced the Bucs with an 8k time of 26:33, good for 32nd place. Jack Goodwin finished in 27:13, good for 51st place. The CBU cross country teams close out the 2018 season Saturday, Nov. 17, when they run in the NCAA South Regional in Lakeland, FL.
MEN'S BASKETBALL (0-0, 0-0 GSC): The University of Memphis converted 28 Christian Brothers University turnovers into 32 points as they claimed a 95-68 exhibition win over the Bucs Friday night at FedExForum. The Bucs travel to Wilburforce, OH for their first regular season game against Central State University on Friday, then bring the CSU Marauders back home for a rematch in Canale Arena on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Full schedule…
