“And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof” Revelation 5:1-5
“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth . And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.” Revelation 5:6-8
“And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” Revelation 5:11-12
I would have liked to write the whole of Revelation 5 above, but space does not permit. So please, to get the most from this little message, read the whole chapter. I feel this message is heavy on my heart, because the 'CHURCH' needs to wake up to the times we are living in. I hear so much error and deception over the period of time that we call THE TRIBULATION.
This terrible time in earth's future history, is I believe, just around the corner. Many almost give the impression that they would like, even want, to go through that time. BUT THEY DON'TUNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF THE TRIBULATION otherwise they would think differently.
“Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light” Amos 5:18
Notice the Old Testament name for the TRIBULATION is THE DAY OF THE LORD! That should give us a clue to a major error that is often taught today. Many teach and believe this terrible period of time is the result of satan, his demons and the reign of the Antichrist. Although they play an active part in it, the TRIBULATION is actually AN ACT OF GOD. Revelation 5 shows us clearly that this period of time is triggered by the opening of the SEALS and the commencement of THE SEAL JUDGMENTS. Who opens these seals?Whoinitiates the SEAL JUDGMENTS and the TRIBULATION? It is JESUS! THE LION OFJUDAH, THE SLAIN LAMB!
The TRIBULATION is GOD'S WRATH POURED OUT ON CHRIST REJECTING HUMANITY.
Some falsely teach that God's wrath doesn't start until the second half of the seven years. They must use a different Bible than the one I use, because we see the tribulation starting in Chapter six of Revelation with the riding forth of the four horsemen, and in that very same chapter.....
“And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” Revelation 6:16-17
THE WRATH OF THE LAMB.....GREAT DAY OF HIS WRATH IS COME....WHO SHALL BE ABLE TO STAND?
Doesn't sound like a picnic to me! I certainly wouldn't want to endure that!
Praise my Jesus, I won't be here! Clearly the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ will come in the clouds of heaven, to snatch away His TRUE CHURCH, HIS BRIDE.
I ask you this morning, what do you want to do? Endure this WRATH or go to the prepared place in HEAVEN?
I praise my Saviour that He took my place, He has already endured that wrath against my sin, on the CROSS OF CALVARY. By REPENTING, and believing the GOSPEL, I know I'm saved, I'm heaven bound! I'm longing for my ETERNAL HOME and to see Jesus face to face!
I really do want to see you in the RAPTURE!
We must make full use of our time, to make the TRUTH ABOUT JESUS known.
