New data and updates in the catalogue


2016 Census tables Just arrived: Miscellaneous tables  Tables at Custom Geographies

As members of the Community Data Program, if you have created custom geography files for your organization, and are inclined to share these data-sets, please contact us. We hope to make this data available on our website and facilitate data-sharing for our members.

Webinars


On November 6,the Community Data Program hosted the webinar: Target Group Profiles - Excel Workshop
  • This webinar is based on Census Target Group Profile tables and the new "Individual Target Group Profiles Data Investigation Template"
  • Heath Priston from the City of Toronto produced this template, demonstrated its use, and answered many data questions
  • For presentation slides, the template and to view the recording, go to our Webinar Page


Upcoming! On December 18, the Community Data Program will host Housing Statistics Program - a webinar about about the federal governments new program, and their newest release of data. Find out what data is available and what is to come! Registration to come.

Social Planning Council of Ottawa Community Snapshot: The Ottawa Community Wellbeing Report: Spotlight on the Role and Wellbeing of Ottawa’s Community Services (2018)


The Social Planning Council of Ottawa (SPCO) published a report analyzing if the city of Ottawa's rate of growth and development has had an measurable effect on safety, health, and overall standard of living using guidelines set by the Canadian Index of Well-being. 



The report measures well-being based on the following eight domains:
  1.  Living standards
  2. Healthy Populations
  3. Community Vitality
  4. Time Use
  5. Education
  6. Leisure and Culture
  7. Democratic Engagement
  8. Environment

Launch of Neighbourhood Financial Health Index



The Canadian Council on Social Development and Prosper Canada, with financial support from the Investment industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC),  have officially launched the Neighbourhood Financial Health Index in Ottawa, together with the first NFHI research brief – Cross Canada Check-up: Provincial-territorial findings from Canada’s Neighbourhood Financial Health Index
