What's Gratitude Got to Do With It?

Diana Butler Bass will be our guest speaker at the November Conference in Washington next week. Don't miss the opportunity to hear this distinguished speaker help us understand the context in which we work.

Join us on November 1, 2018 at 5:30 pm for a reception featuring a presentation by Diana Butler Bass. The reception is $25 and includes light refreshments. A cash bar (soft drinks, beer, wine, cocktails) will be available. Although it is too late to amend your REA registration to include the reception, we will be able to accept check and credit card payment on Thursday evening.

Diana will address topics of interest to ALLLM and REA members alike: the preparation and ongoing development of faith leaders, now and in the future. Her talk, entitled, “What’s Gratitude Got to Do With it?” will include insights she has gleaned from faith leaders around the country. Her presentation will be approximately 45 minutes, so there will be time to ask questions and network as well.

To help us with planning for refreshments, we welcome your RSVP to this email by Monday, October 29 at noon. The event will be held in the Lake Audubon Room. A local bookstore, Scrawl Books, will also be on hand with a selection of Diana’s books.

Election of Leadership Team members
Discussion of Future programs and next steps, including:
- proposal to hold quarterly online meetings to offer support and networking to providers of continuing education programs
- discussion of ways to increase our membership, and strategies to approach (1) educational institutions and (2) denominational judicatories
- brainstorming topics/theme speakers for the 2019 Annual meeting
