John Ikerd on Your Calling as a Farmer
In this video, John Ikerd describes what it means to have a calling to be a farmer and the importance of connecting with peers of similar aspirations. John Ikerd is professor emeritus of agricultural economics at the University of Missouri. He is the author of Sustainable Capitalism, A Return to Common Sense, and Small Farms are Real Farms. John Ikerd was a keynote speaker at EcoFarm 2018, asserting that “Eliminating hunger is the first requisite of agricultural sustainability.”
