Volunteer for a Driving Job - Current Need: Jan 26th in San Jose Area
Requirements: Your vehicle needs to have an empty full back seat, rear cargo area, trunk or other large, clear, clean space available to make this delivery. Trucks need to have a canopy or shell to protect the products the the elements and ensure everything arrives to fellow members in perfect condition. Some fresh poultry boxes make leak (rare, but possibe) - bring protection, as needed (tarp, sheet, cargo liner, etc.)

Volunteers get 10% off all purchases made on the day they volunteer.

Volunteers are not compensated for wear/tear on car, gas, tolls, etc.

Driving Job Protocol:

8:30am: Volunteer driver arrives at SFRAW to pick-up the orders. Orders are ready to load into the car, checked-out and copies of the invoices are attached to each order.

by 9-9:30am: After loading the vehicle, but before leaving SF, volunteer will call and/or text each of the members that have orders to pick-up with an ETA for when & where to meet. Volunteers can either use an app on your phone (Waze, Google Maps, etc.) to get an ETA or we can estimate the average time it would take to get there.

Volunteer should tell each person the color, make & model of their vehicle & provide the address for the meeting location to each member, and give the cell phone number where they can reach you.

When you arrive to the rendez-vous spot: Meet members at the location for them to get the orders directly off your vehicle. It is your job to ensure each order arrives in perfect condtion, that each person takes the correct items for their order, and provide them with any/all paperwork associated with their order (receipts, etc.)

The volunteer will wait for no longer than 20-minutes for people to arrive at any location.  However, knowing ahead of time where & when to expect the delivery, plus the communication the morning of/before the volunteer leaves SF (so members know precisely when to expect to meet them there for your order) the volunteer will hopefully never even need to wait at all, and people will be there to meet them right away.

The goal is to make this exchange convenient, quick & helpful for all involved.  You can also get to meet your fellow SFRAW members - they're very cool people, feel free to socialize, if you have time!

Reminder: Orders are not to be stored, held or transported to other locations (unless arranged in advance with permission). Orders that are not picked-up as expected/scheduled are forfeited/not refunded (ouch!) Members that do not pick-up as expected at a rendez-vous location will be re-assigned and must pick-up all future orders at SFRAW.

FOLLOW "WHAT GROOVY EATS"!
If you follow @whatgroovyeats #whatgroovyeats on Instagram and Facebook, you will find photos, videos, and occasional live streams of her balanced raw meals, eating habits/preferences/challenges (if any), and feeding tips as we share what the founder of SFRAW & her husband, Branko, feeds their Great Dane, Groovy (3 year old Naturally Reared/Raw Fed since birth). Regular appearances by Groovy's  "brother kitty", Briar (raw since since 4.5 weeks old, almost 12 years of age) and other friends, too. We hope each post will provide information or tips/tricks, so you can hopefully expand your knowledge about raw feeding, natural nutrition, Natural Rearing/remedies and related topics.
