Invitation to Worship

In moments like this, words fail to fill the void left in our hearts and lives by violence and hatred. The news has relayed multiple instances of violence that are the inevitable result of hatred and fear of the other. What we have seen this week doesn’t make sense, and it’s not supposed to make sense.

When we gather for worship, we create space for the Body of Christ to dwell together—I pray that you’ll join us tomorrow so together we might laugh, cry, hold space, and speak blessings over our community and our world. I love you—and I can’t wait to see you!

Grace and Peace,
Pastor Jasper

Wednesday Night at Belong

Wednesdays, 6–9 p.m.

Putting a fresh take on the traditional Wednesday night church meeting, Wednesday Night at Belong is a weekly gathering inspired by the word “liturgy,” which literally means “the work of the people.” If you’re looking for deeper connection, spiritual refreshment, and opportunities for service through action, you’ll be right at home. During the night, we make lunches for our friends without homes, come together and hear from each other, pray together, sing together, and work on service projects in and around the church. The band rehearses for the following Sunday and anyone who is interested in worship arts is encouraged to meet, play, sing, create, and brainstorm more creative ways of serving our church body through the arts.

Snacks and beverages will be provided (potluck is invited!), and while we will not have formal childcare, your kids are more than welcome to join in.

Belong Volunteer Training

Saturday, November 3, 9:30–11:30 a.m. at Belong

Deepen your connection to our community and become a volunteer at Belong! We'll provide information and train each volunteer position for weekly worship services at Belong. We’ll have a light brunch, some laughter, some fun, and a bit of learning on the side. We look forward to seeing you there!

If you have questions or would like more information, contact Emily Palmiotto and Emily Silvola at volunteer@belongchurch.org.

Belong 101

Sunday, November 4, 4 p.m. at Belong

Are you ready to move from “guest” to “host”? Partners commit to offer their prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness to God’s Kingdom through Belong Church.

Our Partners are people who have made a commitment to be a part of the life of Belong by blessing others and inviting them to beloved community. Learn more or sign up at belongchurch.org/partnership. Partners will be received into community at worship service on Sunday, November 11.

One Thing: Casa de Paz

Each month, we work to focus our justice efforts as a community in one area. This month, we’re gathering donations for Casa de Paz. Just a few blocks away from the immigrant detention center, Casa de Paz offers housing, meals, visits, and transportation to families affected by immigrant detention.

Casa de Paz most urgently needs King Soopers gift cards to purchase fresh food and backpacks (can be gently used). If you’d like, please take a tote bag and bring it back next Sunday with items to aid families affected by immigration detention.
