Spirit of Abilene is an online faith forum for all Abilenians. Contributions are invited. They may be a meditation, a reflection, a spiritual take something in the news, or an announcement about something of interest to the community. Religion leaders were quick to respond to the deadly shooting Oct. 27 at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. Among them were Rob Sellers and Cliff Stewart of Abilene. Sellers, retired religion professor at HSU, is chairman of the Parliament of the World's Religions. Stewart is pastor of First Central Presbyterian Church and president of the Abilene Association of Congregations. Read more
