HAND OUT SLATE CARDS AT BAYLAND

Our slate cards have been extremely well-received, with many people arriving with them already in hand to early vote at Bayland Park. But there are thousands of people who we could not knock on their doors, so we need volunteers to pass out the cards to people in line. Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday of this week, so feel free to pick any time that is convenient.
Gene Cope, Vice President Emeritus, is 90+ years old and has been doing most of this work by himself. We're asking for volunteers to step up the plate and help Gene out.

Call Sharpstown area Democrats to encourage them to get out and vote!
This can be done from anywhere, including your home—you just need a phone, a computer, and an internet connection
To get started, click on this link: https://www.openvpb.com/vpb_bycode/D26DD2P-763463
This will take you to the Open VPB (Virtual Phone Bank) website. Click on Get Started. You may be asked to log in with an ActionID. If you do not have one, you can follow the instructions on setting one up. Once you are logged in, you will see a screen with a voter's name and phone number, as well as the script you can read. As the voter answers your questions, record their responses using the drop-down menu for each one. When your call is complete, click on Save & Next Call to go to the next voter. If you are done calling for the day, you can click on Stop Making Calls.
Be sure to take some time to read over the script so that you are familiar with it, and make any tweaks you feel make the call more "comfortable." The important thing is that we reach as many people as possible to make sure they vote.
This is probably the most important election of all of our lifetimes, and we can't afford for anyone to sit on the sidelines. Please try to make as many calls are you are able--every little bit helps!

WEEKDAY EVENING BLOCK WALKS

Weekday evenings have some of the best response rates for block walks. Please join us to reach out to Sharpstown area Democrats who have not yet voted and encourage them to do so.
Stop by the house of club President Adrian Ozuna and Treasurer Erik Manning at 7803 Barberton Drive, Houston, Texas 77036. Come by between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday to pick up a turf packet.
Let's make sure we reach out to as many Democrats as possible! We've knocked on thousands of doors this election season, but there is still more to do.

Meetings are generally held the 4th Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM at Bayland Community Center, 6400 Bissonnet St, Houston, TX 77074 (MAP). Date, time, and locations are subject to change depending on certain circumstances (elections, holidays, etc.)
