Dear EIS members,

this is a reminder that the SOSB is on Friday this week, starting at 19:00 at the Flambée, in Darmstadt. Note that the ballot to assign places for the over-subscribed trips will take place at 21:00 on the evening of the SOSB. 

Please, sign-up to the club and pay the membership fee before the SOSB - this is the pre-condition to be able to sign up to the trips... and to get your beer voucher at the SOSB night! ;-)

The prices of the trips are now on-line, you can check them here. Sign up must be done:
- per email directly to the TC until Friday 2/11 at 12pm (noon)
- directly by the TC at the SOSB

Remember to provide your membership ID when you sign up! Below is a summary of the new process to sign up to the club & to trips - please read this carefully and check the rules on the website.

1. Membership - how to join the EIS Ski Club for 2018/19

Register to the MySCC portal and request the membership to the EIS Ski Club, stating your affiliation; you will receive an automatic email with your membership ID and the details to pay the club membership fee (20€). Note: there is no need to specify start/end date for the membership, they will be set automatically by us  later on.  

Once your affiliation has been confirmed and the membership fee has been paid, your membership will become active on MySSCC portal (you shall be notified via email) - more info on the process and the membership rules can be found here. 

2. Sign-up for trips

IMPORTANT: starting from this year, the process to sign-up for trips will be completely different! 

Here are the key points:
- you can now sign up to a trip by sending an email to the TC starting from 2 weeks before the SOSB (i.e. today!) and until  12:00 on the day of the SOSB - or alternatively, you can sign up as usual on the evening of the SOSB until 21:00. 
- at 21:00, subscription to the trips will be closed. For trips where the number of people signed up exceeds the places available, there will be a ballot to assign the places on the trip - a highlight of the SOSB evening!!! ;-)
- people can sign up to a trip individually or in groups made of up to 4 people; each group counts as 1 instance in the lottery to assign the places; places on the waiting list will also be assigned with the ballot.
- after the SOSB, people have the usual 2 weeks to pay the 50 EUR non-refundable deposit and confirm their place on the trip, otherwise they lose priority.

Everything is explained in more details on the website; we encourage you to take 5 minutes to read the new rules there and come back to us in case of questions. The rules will be explained again during the night of the SOSB ;-)

Note: the Trips calendar is available on the web - prices are still TBC but will be published before the SOSB! 

3. Join the SOSB and assist to the Ballot!

Join us for the SOSB on Friday, 2nd of November, starting from 19:00 at Flambée, Darmstadt, Bessunger Str. 115. As usual, for all members there will be a free drink and warm Flammkuchen throughout the night. The ballot to assign places to the over-subscribed trips will be held by our President, Gigi, starting at 21:00. We are looking forward to seeing many of you there!
