NEWS 2019 Glenn and Melinda Adams National Eagle Scout Project of the Year Award Nominations
Every year the National Eagle Scout association recognizes Eagle Scout Projects for their creativeness and impact on a community. Over the past 5 years, 4 Eagles from the San Diego-Imperial Council have either won the Western Region or National Eagle Project Award. The Scout, his parents, or any registered BSA volunteer (with the Eagles' permission may submit the application. To qualify, the Scout must have earned the Eagle rank during 2018. Deadline for submittal to the San Diego-Imperial Council is Saturday, January 21st, 2019.
The Council will select a council-level winner that will be submitted to compete for the Region and National Award. The application form is a form fillable PDF that can be downloaded here. Candidates should electronically submit their applications and Eagle Project Workbooks to the attention of Debbie Lenart.

2018 Fall Shooting Sports Day at Mataguay Scout Ranch - Saturday, November 17th. This one day event is for Scouts and Venture only. No Cubs or Webelos age youth. This is a great event to introduce yourself to age appropriate firearms. For more information or to register, click here.
World Scout Jamboree- will take place at the Summit Bechtel Scout Reserve in West Virginia from July 21, 2019 to August 2, 2019. Participation is open to eligible youth (age 14-17), unit leaders (18 and older) and International Service Team (IST, aka Jamboree Staff, 18 and older). For more information click here.

Cub Scout Leader Pow-Wow Leader Training - Saturday, January 12, 2019 - 9am-3pm - San Diego City College. 
Philmont Training Center - Cimmaron, New Mexico. The PTC is a National volunteer training center for the BSA. It provides year round training and family experiences.
