(UPDATE)
In anticipation of 2 inches of rain on Wednesday, we will bring the lakes down by as much as 6 inches beginning late Tuesday.  With the drawdown expected to start on Thursday we will use this rain event to start off the draw down.

Entergy will begin its annual drawdown of lakes Hamilton and Catherine on November 1st.  This year will be a 5 foot drawdown to help facilitate vegetation management and allow for better access to facilities located on the lakes.  We will lower the lakes at a rate of approximately 6 inches per day thus it will last roughly 10 days.

Entergy will look to begin the refill of the lakes on March 1st.  Refill will also be at a rate of 6 inches per day.

Entergy is standardizing the drawdown/refill dates moving forward to help the public better plan for these occurrences.

Recreational Releases:
Everyone please take note that when putting in at Remmel Dam that water released during generation takes approximately 2 hours to reach the Malvern whitewater park(most floats take 3-4 hours).  Thus if we stop generation flows at 5pm(like we do most weekends) you will only have roughly until 7pm to make it to the park or you might have to walk for an extended portion of your trip.  Entergy recommends putting in no later than 3pm  to make your trip the most enjoyable it can be.
