NOVEMBER News & Events

Before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season starts we encourage you to stop in and grab a good book.  We have a "New Fiction" display right inside the door. It also includes a nice selection of books that aren't new. These are titles that staff picked you might have missed.  New Non-Fiction is displayed behind the Adult Reference Desk.  This face out display helps you to see all the covers of these titles.

NOVEMBER COOKBOOK CLUB

The editors of Cooking Light published a cookbook that features no-fuss, delicious recipes that can be prepared in minutes.

“Dinner A.S.A.P.” proves that a healthy meal is only 25 minutes away!

The Cookbook Club of Orrville Public Library has chosen this title for their November meeting.

By using pre-made and pre-chopped foods from the grocery store, the recipes focus on speed and simplicity.  Easy-to-follow instructions will appeal to even the most inexperienced cook.

Check out your copy of the cookbook, prepare a dish, and bring it to the group’s 6:00 p.m. meeting on Monday, November 5.  No registration is required.

NOVEMBER BOOK CLUB

November's Book Club read is “Little Fires Everywhere” by Celeste Ng.

All adults are invited to participate.

This 2017 novel is about two families living in Shaker Heights in the 1990s who are brought together through their children.  In 1998, the Richardson home catches fire.  Arson is suspected, as there were multiple small fires.  The Richardson children believe that the arsonist was their sister, Izzy.  Is the picture-perfect Richardson family really so perfect after all?

Books are available for checkout at our circulation desk in a variety of formats.

The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20 for discussion.

New members and occasional drop-ins are always welcome to the group.
