RELEASE NEWS: LOT 18 OF ST. GEORGE SINGLE MALT WHISKEY
Lot 18 of St. George Single Malt Whiskey has begun making its way out into the world!
To create Lot 18, head distiller/blender Dave Smith selected a trove of barrels ranging 4–19 years in age—including used Kentucky bourbon barrels, used French oak wine casks, used Port casks, used rum casks, and used California Sauternes-style casks. As with every St. George Single Malt Whiskey release before it, Lot 18 is an elegant expression of single malt. On the nose, Lot 18 expresses cocoa, nutmeg, and honey. On the palate, find dark chocolate and a distinct brandied quality, as well as notes of Seville marmalade, toasted walnut, barley, and strong ale.
As this newsletter goes to press, orders for Lot 18 have already shipped out to our distributors all over the country and bottles are already starting to make landfall in California. Other states will soon follow suit. If you’re interested in finding a bottle of your own, more information about the rollout is here.
