AAO Members Present Awards
Although many of our members host award programs, here are a few that stood out recently.
- The New York Times created an interactive figure-ground map of every building in the United States based on a new Microsoft database and added some interpretation of the map's patterns
- "Living with Buildings" is a new exhibition at the Wellcome Collection (London) that explores how buildings affect our physical and mental health
- On a related note, the founder of Conscious Cities argues that behavioral science should inform the design of the built environment, making it human-centered design
- 1000 singers were stationed along the High Line for The Mile-Long Opera, a co-production between composer David Lang and architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro. If you missed it in New York, you can view it in 360-degree video online.
