SCA scholars are celebrating Red Ribbon Week this week! Please see the schedule below:
Halloween costumes will be permitted on Wednesday, October 31st. The following guidelines should be followed when sending your child to school dressed up: costumes must follow Friday dress code, may not be scary, no masks or face covering, no weapons (props or real), & no revealing clothing. If your child decides not to wear a costume, they should wear their regular Wednesday uniform.

Georgia Parent Survey-Please Complete
Please take a few moments to complete the Georgia Parent Survey: http://gshs.gadoe.org/parents
The survey contains 24 questions and may be completed using your personal computer, smartphone, or tablet. If you do not have access to the Internet, please contact the school and we can make accommodations for you to complete the survey on campus. We encourage all parents/families to participate in the survey as it collects important data that helps SCA continue to evaluate and improve our school climate and scholar achievement.
CLICK HERE to begin the survey. In the school system drop down choose State Charter Schools [782] then choose Scintilla Charter Academy.

Square 1 Art Coming Soon!
SCA has partnered with Square 1 Art to create a unique opportunity to celebrate your scholar's artistic accomplishments while raising much-needed funds for the school.
Coming home soon will be your child’s custom catalog featuring their artwork. Won’t you help make your child feel like an accomplished artist by purchasing keepsakes for the whole family containing their masterpiece? The school earns profit from every order. And as a thank you for participating, we provide each child with a sheet of stickers imprinted with their artwork — absolutely FREE!
Watch for more details about the campaign and order deadlines. All online and paper order forms must be turned in by the due date on your child’s custom catalog. (No late orders can be accepted.) Together, we can help support the school, build your child’s self-esteem, and create lasting keepsakes from your child’s artistic achievements.

Mark Your Calendar - November In-Service Days
There will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, November 8th & Friday, November 9th due to Fall In-Service Days. Please make a note of these school holidays.
Parents, please send a weather-appropriate change of clothes to school with you your scholar each day including undergarments and socks. The change of clothes does not have to be an SCA uniform. Should your scholar have a spill or accident, they will have something to change into. You can place the clothing in a large Ziploc bag, marked with their name, and place it in their backpacks until needed. We appreciate your help.
