Update from Environmental Engineering Supervisor
I am still working to understand the existing processes and procedures with an eye to improving and streamlining. I have updated the resource list of designers, installers, contractors and inspectors. I will be using it to distribute information on program changes. If you are interested please email me your contact information and basic services provided.
We have started accepting digital submittals and resubmittals. They should be directed to plansubmittals@coconino.az.gov so that they are processed and placed in line for review. You may copy the reviewer if you would like, however if it is sent directly to the reviewer then there may be a delay in getting the submittal logged in.
We have simplified the transfer of ownership application from two pages to one page. Rather than coping information for the inspection report to the application, the applicant simply attaches a copy of the report. (The instructions have been simplified from four pages to one page.) It is really only a transfer of ownership.
Shortly after I arrived Zach Berft, RS, relocated to Prescott and is working with Yavapai County. Brian Buzzell, RS has again pitched in to keep the work load moving ahead while he is down one co-worker and getting his new supervisor up to speed on the internal minutiae of processing applications. Layne Tucker, currently a Permit Technician with Community Development, will be taking the vacant position and begin working on Monday November 19, 2018. That will improve the work flow and allow more attention to process improvement.
If you have specific concerns about the program please feel free to call, write or visit.
