Dear Friends and Supporters, A warm welcome from Geneva! I am Ingrid Heindorf, responsible for the Future Policy Award. October 15 was our big day this year: with a great ceremony at the UN FAO in Rome, we honoured the world champions in sustainable agriculture and food systems. But why should we scale up Agroecology?

Agroecology is a powerful tool to achieve sustainable development. The outstanding solutions that received our "Oscar on best policies" show how sustainable agriculture are good for the people, the land, our climate and even the economy - and we hope that the inspiring policies we identified will inspire policy-makers across the globe!
