CAP Thanksgiving Basket Option #1 - due Sunday! (See details below)

CAP Thanksgiving Basket Time!
 
You have two options this year for supporting CAP with Thanksgiving baskets:
  • Option 1 (Due THIS Sunday, November 4):  This is a new way of participating this year.  Our Roots students are happy to announce that they will do the shopping for you!   All you need to do is provide a donation of $55 ($30 for items plus $25 for a turkey) for each basket you wish to donate.  The check should be made out to CAP and “CAP Thanksgiving Basket” should be in the memo line. 
  • Option 2 (Due by Sunday, November 18):  You can purchase all of the food items on the list (click here for the list) along with writing a $25 check to CAP for a turkey with "CAP Thanksgiving Basket" in the memo line. This is the same way as has been done in the past.
**Important update:  Chelsea Milling Company has agreed to donate all of the needed Jiffy pie mixes to complete our CAP baskets this year. Therefore, you do NOT need to purchase that item.  Thanks to Ken Timmer for contacting them and seeking out this donation!

Help us reach our goal of 150 Thanksgiving Baskets for CAP this year!

Finally, don’t forget about the CAP closet across from the bathroom downstairs at church.  CAP would love to receive and distribute any winter clothing items that you are willing and able to donate!
 
On October 28 our congregation voted to approve the call of Rev. Noah and Rev. Kristen Livingston. As the discernment process now shifts from our congregation to the Livingstons, you are invited to send notes and words of support, encouragement, and excitement to them at noahandkristen@gmail.com
Eugene Peterson, best-selling author of "The Message", passed away on Monday, October 22.  Click here to read an article written about him in The Banner.
CPR/AED: If you would like to learn the current method for cardiac resuscitation and correct operation of the AED machine a CPR/AED class will be offered November 6, 6:30-8:30 in room 24. Please RSVP by November 1st to Barb Okonkwo at bjokonkwo69@gmail.com so materials can be ordered.
Announcement: 
  • There are a number of dishes in the kitchen left over from last Sunday's Harvest Brunch.  Please come claim your items! 
  • In addition, one crock pot appears to have gone home with the wrong owner.  If you accidentally grabbed the wrong crock pot, please bring it back to the church kitchen and let the church office know.
