WE STAND TOGETHER FOR TRANSGENDER CIVIL RIGHTS!

Over 400 people gathered in solidarity at the Santa Cruz Clocktower in response to federal threats on transgender civil rights.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a memo suggesting that federal agencies need to adopt a uniform definition of gender to be based “on a biological basis that is clear, grounded in science, objective and administrable.” The revised definition would exclude transgender people from Title IX protections in schools, the workplace, health services, and many more institutions. 4 days left until the midterm elections on Tuesday, November 6th! Early voting is available 8am–5pm every weekday at both the Santa Cruz County Building and the Watsonville City Clerk's Office, plus 9am–5pm on Saturday, November 3rd and Sunday, November 4th; or click here to find your polling place for election day.
