Suicide Awareness Community Discussion
Saturday, November 10th 9:00am-11:00am
West Parish Congregational Church
32 Church Street, Bethel
“A person in Maine dies by suicide every 1.6 days. As a community, the more we know about suicide the more prepared we are to attempt to intervene and support people struggling with thoughts of suicide or surviving the loss of a loved one from suicide.”
The West Parish Congregational Church in Bethel (WPCC) is hosting an open discussion that will cover facts and myths about suicide, information that all concerned community members should know about suicide, and resources available in our community for help and support.
*The session is free and open to the public.*
Leslie Lufkin, LCSW, LADC of the Bethel Family Health Center and Wendy Youmans of Androscoggin Home Healthcare will lead this discussion.
