High Spirits - November 2018

Giving Thanks

It's time to "Fall Back" one hour as we end Daylight Saving Time and say hello to November. October was a very active and inspirational month. We are so thankful to our October speakers: The Rev. Dr. Julia Kyle, Michael Staples, MFA, and to our guest event presenters, Mediums Austyn Wells and A. J. Barrera who offered an evening of exploring physical mediumship and the opportunity to experience the Spirit cabinet. Austyn and A.J. served as our Sunday speakers on October 21, and spontaneously and generously connected us to Spirit's heartfelt love and messages for a 3-hour demonstration after our Sunday potluck.
The first week in October, Pauline Coleman, Eva Vega, Lynda Lauts and I attended the NSAC Annual Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to serve as your elected delegates, and returned to speak on the business and activities of our national organization. It is an honor to announce my appointment by the NSAC President, the Rev. Christine Krithades and the NSAC Board of Trustees to serve as the 2018-2019 Director of the Department of Missionaries.

While attending our national convention, our own beloved Lynda Lauts successfully completed her written and oral Ordained Minister exams. It is a joy to invite you to her Rite of Ordination Ceremony this Sunday, November 4th during our regular service. Lynda also holds the NSAC credentials of Certified Medium and Commissioned Spiritualist Healer. On Saturday, November 10 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, she presents “You and Your Spirit Guide” Workshop. (Please see flyer for details.)
This month we are delighted to welcome back speakers Thomas Robinson, MA, on November 11, and the Rev. Dr. Julia Kyle on November 18, which is also the day for our Thanksgiving Potluck following the Sunday service. On November 25, some of our congregants will speak on Gratitude.

November is a time for giving thanks, and the perfect time for me to express my gratitude. Thank You All! I am so grateful for the honor to serve as your Pastor, enveloped in the harmonious blessings from all of you who so generously dedicate and donate your time, energy, kindness, support, contributions, knowledge and creativity. Our church community is truly a home of love because of each and every loving individual, in both the seen and unseen realms. As we count our many blessings this month, may we be mindful of our Spiritualist Principles, knowing that we make our own happiness or unhappiness and may we be grateful for the gift of our free will, guided by our highest morality, the Golden Rule.

Love, Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving,
Pastor Pam
