Have your say - dementia services survey
The department has contracted the Rosemary Bryant AO Research Centre at the University of South Australia to evaluate the Dementia Behaviour Management Advisory Services (DBMAS) and Dementia Training Program (DTP).
The survey focuses on how effectively DBMAS and DTP are meeting the needs of individuals who care for people living with dementia and the needs of the person(s) they care for. We would like to know what is working well, and areas that could be improved.
Invitation to participate
We would like to hear from nurses, allied health professionals, personal care workers and managers in aged care who:
1. work with people living with dementia in residential aged care or in the community
2. have had any exposure to either DBMAS or DTP.
The views of individuals caring for people living with dementia are vital to the evaluation process, regardless of whether they currently use these two services.
How to participate
The online survey takes approximately 20-25 minutes to complete and closes on 30 November 2018.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and anonymous. Participants can withdraw at any time.
The survey can be accessed here.
If you have any questions or concerns about this survey, please contact Ms Kate Kennedy, Project Manager, on (08) 8302 1536 or email rbrc@unisa.edu.au.

Under the terms and conditions of the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) grant agreement, providers (except in Victoria) are required to submit an annual CHSP Wellness and Reablement Report to the department.
Providers must work towards embedding a wellness approach in their service delivery practices. However, the department is aware that providers are at different stages of implementation. The 2018 report gives the department a snapshot of how providers:
- understand wellness and reablement
- implement wellness and reablement approaches in their service delivery
- might need further support
Reporting template
Providers should have received the link to the online reporting template. If you have not yet received the link, please contact your Grant Agreement Manager.
The due date for providers to complete the report is Friday 16 November 2018.
