Colonial Era Test postponed until Tuesday 11/06/2018. 50 States Quiz postponed until Wednesday 11/07/2018. Students know what list they are on. Lists available on 5th.luaky.org After tests and quizzes, we will begin our unit on the causes of the American Revolution.

Standards: 6.NS.2, 6.SP.1,2

Students will finish Section 4 this week and take a test on Friday inshallah.

This week Mrs. Brann (former Mrs. Pence/Bradley) will be teaching the 5th and 6th graders. She will transition throughout the week and become the long term sub for Math inshallah. I will continue working with the students and assisting whenever necessary. Mrs. Brann is a former teacher at LUA. She taught for 5 years at LUA and 2 years at Julius Marks Elementary, prior to LUA. Students are working on Lesson 2 (Fun trip).They're working on reading the story and learning new grammars.
- All students received their Spelling H.W sheets. It will be due on Monday.
- Spelling test and Reading log sheets are both due on Monday Insha'allah.
- Students need to summarize their Weekly Reading story book at their Arabic notebook.
- The monthly project will be due on Friday, November 30th.

Quran

- Test at tafseer of surah Al-Ma'un on Thursday 11/8/2018 for both group.

Group 1

- Students are reviewing the rules of نْ and Tanween.
- Each student H.W. will be written at his/her planner.
- Practice recitation page 13 of surah Al-Baqarah

Group: 2

- Students are working on Al-Qaida An-Nuraniyah lesson 8-9
- Each student memorization will be written at his/her planner.
- Practice lesson 8-9.

BOOK FAIR THIS WEEK! :)
This week, we will begin our nonfiction text structure notes. We will work on test corrections and continue reading Holes. Please see the Language Arts homework section of the 5th-grade website for detailed information about homework and upcoming due dates.

Standard: 05-ESS2-2

Students will be looking at the distribution of water on Earth. We will do a demonstration and worksheet to better help the students understand.

Unit A Ch 5: Surat-ul-Mulk, the students will continue covering the meaning and the lessons derived from this surah

Students will be working on Word processing.
