Shellabration Update

Hi everyone! Just a couple of highlights for the upcoming Shellabration.

The online submission is working out well for the restaurants and wineries.
  • If you plan to reach out to any local businesses, please just coordinate this with me so we have a running list of who has been approached to participate. Merchants interested in participating can use the online sign-up form which can be found here: http://shellabration.li/

Volunteers will be needed for welcome package assembly the week prior to Shellabration; for check-ins; and for shucking (both days).

Volunteers helping out with package assembly, check-in, and shucking will receive a complimentary wristband to Shellabration!
  • Welcome package assembly - I will send an email when we know day/time to meet at the SCMELC.
  • Check-in locations will be at Little Creek Oysters and Greenport Harbor Brewing.
  • Shuckers are needed at both locations as well.

For our beverage sponsorships this year, Greenport Harbor Brewing will be donating beer, and Borghese Vineyards will be providing their 'Rosé for the Bays', so we'll also have a wine option at the check in sites for the complimentary pairing, which is a nice new addition.

We're still exploring if it would be helpful to have 'ambassadors' at the restaurants during Shellabration to help out. We will let you know if this becomes an option, and what it would entail.

Please contact me if you can help out. Thank you for your continued support! ~Darci
