Daycare & Preschool News

God is GOOD! We are thankful for our teachers that do so much more than just teach; caring and praying for each one of our students and families. We are thankful for all of the students in our classrooms teaching us as much as we teach them. We are thankful for you, our families, and all the support you give your students, our teachers, and Curtis Baptist School. We are thankful for CBS, to have a place to openly express our love for God, share His word, and pray without condemnation. As we enter the “season of Thanksgiving,” we are reminded that we have so much to be grateful for all year long. All of our classes will be celebrating all of God’s blessings November 16 in their classrooms with different activities, including making butter and breaking bread together.

Elementary School News

Have you noticed the friendly faces and the bright yellow vests in carline each morning? The CBS Servant Patrol is back in action! Fifth-grade students volunteer to take part in morning duty that revolves around safety and smiles. Students participating require parental consent and must be in good academic standing with no behavior problems. Pictured here are Sunnie Faw and Ryleigh Keel. At CBS, we are building servant leaders!

Elementary teachers would like to give a BIG thank you to all the parents who volunteered and helped make the Fall Festival a success!

Coming up on November 12, 2018, the elementary will be honoring veterans of our school families with a special program starting at 8:30 a.m. If you have a veteran to include in the slideshow presentation, please email mkoone@curtisbaptist.org with a picture; the name, rank, branch, and years served; name of CBS student; and relationship to the student. We look forward to recognizing and honoring those veterans that are a part of our school family.

Middle & High School News

November is the time of year that we are reminded to count our blessings, and we do have much to be grateful for as the CBS family. The Lord has been very gracious toward us as we continue to follow His leading.

This month has its own unique blessings in the following opportunities for our Middle and High School students.

Friday, November 9 is the mid-term mark of the second quarter. Progress Reports will be emailed the following week.

On Tuesday, November 13 you are invited to join our school-wide chapel service as our students bring the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes for distribution. Mrs. Karen Todd, the Regional Director of Operation Christmas Child, will be our speaker. The program will be held in the CBC sanctuary 8:15-8:50 a.m.

Our Junior Ring Ceremony and the Beta Club Induction Ceremony will be on Thursday, November 15.  Watch for more information from Miss Reed.

We wish you a blessed Thanksgiving season.
