West End SPEAKS to West End ACTS

On October 6th, the West End community came together to celebrate Ezzard Charles and his history in the West End by hosting Ezz Fest in Laurel Park. Just Cookin' created some delicious food for the event. The QKidz and local jazz musicians entertained the community.  Local businesses, artists, and tailors came together to show off the many loves of Ezzard Charles.  You can view more pictures here.

Seven Hills Neighborhood Houses and the Port solidified their partnership at a news conference on October 9th. The agreement describes how Seven Hills will work with the Port to foster equitable development in the West End.

“We’ll be working to build upon and develop our capacity, while also attracting and supporting purposeful developments that align with the goals of the WE Speak plan.  Our doors are always open so the community can stay informed, build their knowledge and participate in neighborhood development,” says Tia Brown of Seven Hills.
