CaribbeanReads' first Spanish language titles will make their debut at the Miami Book Fair Street Fair November 16-18. The beloved Lost! A Caribbean Sea Adventure which reimagines the true story of an Arctic seal which found itself stranded in the waters off Antigua and Barbuda, is now available in Spanish, translated by Loudymar Lightfoot and Nneka Edwards. Also in Spanish is our most recent title, Sweet Victory (Dulce Victoria). Check them out at online retailers and bookstores near you.
Author Sightings
Author Joanne C. Hillhouse will appear at the Miami Book Fair Sunday November 18 at 4:00 pm along with Marjuan Canady of Callaloo fame, Paula-Anne Porter Jones, and Francie Latour. She will be speaking about Lost! A Caribbean Sea Adventure and her other titles.
CaribbeanReads will be joining Read Jamaica at the Festival, so look out for our tent.
Musical Youth on School Curriculum
Musical Youth is on the high school curriculum in Antigua and Barbuda for the 2018-2019 school year. We are very excited that these students will be reading a book authentically set in Antigua and written by an author from their homeland.
