Dr. Khairat joined the AMIA Academic Forum Executive Committee


Dr. Khairat accepted an invitation to join the AMIA Academic Forum Executive Committee for 2018-2020. Among his responsibilities, Dr. Khairat will initiate and lead the undergraduate community within the Academic Forum. The community aims to create a Health Informatics Bachelors Program Directors to establish guidelines and resources for informatics education at the baccalaureate level.
 

CHIP graduate students recently selected for the AMIA Annual Symposium Student Design Challenge

CHIP graduate students: Karthik Adapa, Ashley Griffen, Malvika Pillai, Rachel Stemerman (alphabetically ordered), recently got selected as one of the top eight finalists for the AMIA Annual Symposium Student Design Challenge. They will be presenting their poster at the AMIA poster session, Monday, November 5th.


Manish Kumar, CHIP Ph.D. Student invited at Regional Policy Dialogue
 
Manish Kumar, a 
Ph.D. student in the Health Informatics program, was one of the invited speakers at the Regional Policy Dialogue on ‘Digital Transformation of the Health Sector in Latin America and the Caribbean’ organized by the Inter-American Development Bank on October 9-10, 2018 in Washington D.C.

He presented his work on maturity models in the session ‘Diagnostics: How Ready is My Country for Digital Transformation?’. To read more about his work on Maturity Model-Based Assessment Tools for Digital Transformation click here.
