Theme: All age community

Dear <<First Name>>,

Welcome to the Autumn Quaker Life Network email. In this edition, we look at all age community, which builds nicely towards our all age Outreach Conference in February 2019. This was also the theme of Quaker Life Rep Council in October and we've recorded lots of the sessions from that weekend to share with you. The video includes young Quakers talking about their experiences and a talk from Helen Chambers about transforming meetings into welcoming all age communities.

We also have some exciting opportunities for flexible Quaker service; Children and young people volunteers and Glastonbury help. We're looking for additional members of the Engaging Young Adult Quakers steering group, so we'd appreciate your help in finding names too!

We continue to facilitate Friends meeting each other online using Zoom. If you've ever used Skype, Woodbrooke online courses or even telephone conferences then you shouldn't have too much trouble with the technology and we're here to help. Check out the upcoming sessions, sorry for the short notice on one of them.

Requests for short term service

In 2019 there will be several events taking place with and for Quaker children and young people. Over the coming month volunteers are being recruited to be on events teams. Details of these opportunities can be found at https://www.quaker.org.uk/children-and-young-people/volunteering-cyp

Being on a CYP event team offers opportunities to be part of a Quaker community, to develop skills and have fun alongside some inspiring young people or children. Offers of service for 2019 CYP events are welcomed until 30 November 2018.

We are seeking Friends who are interested in shaping Quakers into an inclusive community. The group works strategically to support and empower young adults within the yearly meeting. We encourage expressions of interest from those aged 18-23 and aged 30-35. We especially welcome those with children and can provide support to enable them to serve.
