Halloween Parade | Wednesday, October 31

Please join us on Wednesday, October 31 at 8:15 a.m. for our Halloween costume parade! Our students in PK - 8th grade will parade outside the school (weather permitting). Student's will march out of the building using the Greenview exit and travel south on Greenview to Oakdale. The parade will turn left on Oakdale and travel east toward Southport and will pass the parking lot. The parade will then turn left into the parking lot (driveway closest to the Athenaeum) and students will re-enter the building through the parking lot entrance. We ask parents, families, and friends to view the parade on the curbside of the sidewalk and not from the parking lot.

For more information about our Halloween Parade or the Classroom Halloween Parties, please click here. Please note, the 2nd grade Halloween Parties will be on 10/31 from 12:45pm-1:45pm.
Join Us to Advance the Mission of AACA

Do you feel called to foster a culture of stewardship at AACA by encouraging community members to share their time, talent, and treasure to ensure our school continues to be a welcoming home for families and students?

Advancement Council members will help guide the advancement strategy of AACA and will engage prospective donors (both the parents in their child's grade and community members) to advance the mission and vision of the school. Additionally, the Council helps align parents’ volunteer time and skills with furthering the school and its mission.

Please contact Mandy Moody at mmoody@aaca.school if you’re interested in becoming a member or have any questions.

Counselor's Corner: Sibling Conflict

Sibling conflict is a common challenge for most families. One effective way to deal with it is to "keep the children in the same boat". To learn more please check out this link.
Wellington Kiss-N-Go Lane

Motorists, please do not use W. Wellington Ave. as a “Kiss-N-Go” lane. Dropping off students on W. Wellington creates unnecessary delays in the traffic flow. Please be a considerate motorist and role model for your children by following the directions and expectations for drop-off and pick-up. We can all ease the “pain” of traffic flow if we following the directions and expectations.
