All of us at 4WRD are thanking God for a superlative year! A year of records in giving, receiving, and we pray in personal growth and maturing.
During our last fiscal year (ending on September 30) 4WRD received 156,924 books. (Our previous high was just over 60,000). We also shipped more than 70,000 books out of our warehouse and another 60,000 with partners, making our grand total a new record by 25,000!
October 25th we shipped a 20 foot container to Yangon, Myanmar. In it were 21 units of steel library cantilever shelving and 16,991 books in 332 boxes. Once in Yangon they will be dispersed to 12 Bible schools and one book ministry. Two libraries will double in size and be better equipped to meet accreditation standards. We pray the 40 day journey (give or take a day) goes smoothly and that there are no delays or excessive customs fees.
The shelving cost us $2,000 and we are trying to finish raising the funds for those units that retail between $500 and $800 a unit instead of the $100 a unit we paid. The shipment date came before we were able to raise our funding! Please help! Evangel Bible College in Yangon will be able to house all the books currently in their library and the 6,000 we shipped on those shelves.
